NYC X Design: Moments build Memories — In Concrete

Studio 6 Gallery presents an encore concrete workshop experience and curated case exhibition led by architect and sculptor Robyn Squires [RYSQ] of Sqrypt Atelier, featuring work by Caos Mote, Dos Santos Collective, & Space Play. Supported by Montana Shop NY on the Lower East Side.

Studio 6 Gallery will be hosting a special presentation and concrete workshop experience led by Robyn aka RYSQ on March 15th during NYCxDesign Week, as an encore to her sold out workshop in January 2026. This will be a rare opportunity to see a collection of concrete artifacts and sculptures on display from the last 5 years of her practice in conjunction with a curated collection of bespoke functional home decor products from Caos Mote, Dos Santos Collective, & Space Play in the front display case of the gallery.

Bringing this offering to the street art community is a meaningful way to mentor and share the process of scaling art to architecture. In her early years of experimenting with infusing unexpected textures and color into the process, Montana and Krink paint was integral to shaping her art practice in conjunction with exploring the use of sustainable botanical materials such as Japanese indigo and tea.

Robyn has worked in the NYC building construction industry since 2004, contributing to dozens of projects that have helped shape the fabric of the city. Now, she’s sharing that knowledge alongside her peers in an accessible and creative way. Participants will learn how to mix paints and pigments directly into concrete to create functional DIY art pieces like coasters, candle holders, trays, vessels, cassette tapes and more. Each participant will leave with their own custom concrete artwork.
